What Is The TGA?

The TGA, also known as the Therapeutic Goods Association, is the Australian regulatory body working as an extension of the Department of Health, to regulate the supply, import, export, manufacturing and advertising of therapeutic goods.

What Are The Upcoming Changes That The TGA Are Implementing On November 30?

According to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), from 30 November 2023, sports supplements that make claims relating to performance in exercise or sports, and are in the medical dosage form (i.e. capsule, pill or tablet) will be considered and regulated as a therapeutic good.

What Does This Mean For Us At Australian Sports Nutrition?

All capsule products will be discontinued as of November 30 unless they are TGA-approved. This means some of your favourite capsules will no longer be available for purchase at ASN.

At ASN we are working towards re-formulating some of our products into powdered forms and re-labelling these to ensure we are compliant with these regulations. Please note that some of these products may look different as we undertake this extensive process.
